The Pitch

The pitch was mainly based around informing the people of the seminar group and Martine our basic plot idea. The story line went down very well, most of the group seemed interested in what we wanted to show, and how it seemed like a very fun idea. I think all the ideas worked and came across well because of how different they are, there was a noir, a character study and our film, a comic book esque fight scene.

For our influences we just put some of the films we mentioned in our first few meetings, those were mainly Kick-Ass and Sucker Punch due to the sort of fantasy element to seemingly normal stories. Also the visuals of Kick-Ass are kind of similar to the style we would want to go for, the fighting its self is very nicely stylised too something we'd like in our film.

We also showed everyone the photos Conor took of the locations, since he lives in the flat we're going to shoot in and is very close to where we're going to do the outdoor scenes. Furthermore we showed that we had already sorted actors, so that wasn't going to be much of a problem since Conor knew them all well.

It went smoothly and everyone seemed excited for the idea which was good, it went about as well as it could have gone, which left us to just get on with story and character development to make it as good as we could.
